Chronologically ordered receipts, from 26th of March 2023 to the 31st of May 2025
My idea was to use something that we are so used to receive and throw away, and transforming it into a tool to dive deeper into my old self, as well as reminisce memories and experiences I have lived during my time in Milan. The performance was done with the intent of putting as much importance as possible into those dates that were past, and trying to freeze time by repeatedly reading them out loud, and making a sort of mosaic of receipts in my bedroom. Some dates were more important than others, and that is visibile through the performance, and that’s also the reason why I choose to not focus on the objects pruchased, rather trying to make past present again. Similar to my other performance “heelflip” this project is a take on self discovery.
After completion, the artwork was then removed and thrown away.
